Image library

The HSE Science and Research Centre has an extensive and unique archive of photographs and film/video footage. Over the years our images have been featured on terrestrial and satellite TV, in national newspapers, scientific journals and trade magazines. The fact that we have a dedicated, in-house imaging capability  means that we are always adding to our collection.

Our imagery ranges from historical documentation of coal-mining and other industrial processes and workplaces, to the aftermath of major incidents and computer-generated scientific graphics.

A selection of our specialist  imagery is available for purchase through the Science Photo Library and you can see some examples below.
