Introduction
This event will focus on the environmental fate and
ecotoxicology assessments of biopesticide active substances and
products in GB, covering micro-organisms, botanicals and
semiochemicals.
The training will be delivered by HSE regulatory specialists and
will include sessions on the guidance currently available, the
environmental fate and ecotoxicology assessments and common issues
in submissions for biopesticides. The focus will be on helping
attendees understand how to improve the quality of their GB
applications by demonstrating how these dossiers are assessed by
HSE. The seminar will not cover peptides or ribonucleic acid based
active substances (RNAi).
The course will cover:
- General introduction to biopesticides and GB biopesticide
scheme
- Overview of available guidance and data requirements for
botanical actives and products
- The environmental fate and ecotoxicology assessments of
botanical actives and products
- Common issues arising in botanical substance/product
applications
- Discussion of semiochemicals, including assessments and common
issues
- Overview of available guidance and data requirements for
microbial actives and products
- The environmental fate and ecotoxicology assessments of
microbial actives and products
- Common issues arising in microbial active/product
applications
- Secondary metabolite assessments
- Overview of CRD's involvement in on-going biopesticide
research

Those who have an interest in environmental fate and/or
ecotoxicology assessments of biopesticide substances and their
evaluation by HSE.
Live Online Course Information
All you will need is an internet-connected computer, laptop or
tablet, plus a webcam and microphone. We do not recommend using a
