Safety has to be a priority in any industrial processing
environment. HSL's large-scale process safety testing facilities
enable our clients to recreate, analyse and assess hazards relating
to chemical reactions, electrostatic discharges, cryogenic liquid
spills and associated risks.
Our testing capabilities are supported by the world-class
regulatory expertise and experience of our process safety
practitioners who can help you to resolve complex process safety
and risk management issues.

HSL's dedicated Pilot Plant can be used to investigate runaway
reactions, vent sizing and other chemical reaction hazards.
It comprises two reactors with associated feed vessels and catch
tanks, along with a range of analysing equipment.
This large-scale facility can be used for measuring
electrostatic charge generation on liquids and components
(including composites) during fluid flow.
This dedicated facility enables the release of a variety of
gases or fluids and allows their dispersion to be measured.
Our Cryogenic Release Facility provides the ability to
perform metered and instantaneous releases of both liquid nitrogen
(LN) and liquified natural gas (LNG) for consequence
