Visit to HSL by Eire's Health and Safety Authority (HSA)

HSL recently welcomed a visit to the laboratory by Martin O'Halloran, Chief Executive and Mary Dorgan, Assistant Chief Executive of Eire's Health and Safety Authority (HSA) - the equivalent of Britain's HSE. A service support relationship has existed between HSL and HSA since 2005 providing specialist incident investigation; training and research, and this was an opportunity to see and understand the full breadth of HSL's facilities and specialist resource.

The visit included specific presentations on areas of HSL's expertise in Occupational Health and Medicine, Ergonomics, Chemical and Biological Agents, Stress Management, Specialist Photography & Media, Incident Investigation and Pedestrian Safety. The visit was rounded off by an external tour of HSL's unique experimental facilities.

Mary Dorgan said of the visit: "I would like to thank HSL for the excellent introduction and insight into their work and facilities. In addition to the current work being undertaken for HSA , I believe there are many possible collaborations for the future."
