Introduction

HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) is running a one day workshop aimed at providing training on data requirements for the EU authorisation of plant protection products regarding the identity, the physicochemical properties, and methods of analysis under Regulation EC 1107/2009.

The event will cover legislation and data requirements supporting Regulation EC 1107/2009, with a discussion of the revised guidance document produced by CRD for the generation of data on the physical, chemical and technical properties of plant protection products under Regulation EC 1107/2009.  The event will include an update on the latest version of the guidance document, and further progress towards production of a harmonised European document.

The course will cover:

  • Overview of the data requirements for plant protection products
  • Guidance on the generation of data on the physical, chemical and technical properties of plant protection products under Regulation EC 1107/2009 produced by CRD
  • Methods of analysis, requirements and EU guidance including revisions to SANCO documents
  • Classification and Labelling
  • Guidance developments - working towards an EU harmonised guidance document for  physical, chemical and technical properties of plant protection products under Regulation EC 1107/2009
  • Key changes and requirements

Who should attend?

The event is specifically designed for technical and regulatory staff involved in the production and submission of data in support of plant protection product applications to CRD.

Given the nature of the workshop, places will be limited to a maximum of 16 delegates.

Venue

The workshop will be held at the Chemicals Regulation Division, Mallard House, Kings Pool, 3 Peasholme Green, York YO1 7PX. Registration will begin from 9:00 am. The workshop will start at 9:30 am and finish around 4:30 pm.

Cost

The cost of this course is £455 (plus VAT) per person (includes course notes, lunch and refreshments)
