HSL is to run a 1 day course on CRD - Workshop on Dermal Absorption and the New EFSA Guidance for Plant Protection Products.

Revised EFSA Guidance on dermal absorption (2017) for plant
protection products regulated under Regulation 1107/2009 will soon
be finalised for use across the EU. In anticipation of this new
EFSA Guidance, HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) will be
holding a one day workshop to present and explain the guidance,
which will supersede the previous EFSA Guidance document
The course will cover:
- Overview of the new guidance document;
- Key differences between the new and old guidance;
- Critical aspects of dermal absorption studies and their
- Key information frequently absent from, or not clearly
presented in, dermal absorption study reports and / or regulatory
- Worked examples highlighting critical areas of the new
- Common problems found in Dermal Absorption evaluations.

Given the nature of the event, places
will be limited to a maximum of 16 delegates.
Who should attend?
The workshop is aimed at technical and registration specialists
involved in the design of dermal absorption studies and in the
preparation and submission to CRD of plant protection product
applications for authorisation. The aim is to provide
awareness, knowledge and interactive discussion via presentations,
questions/answers and practical sessions.
The workshop will be held at the Chemicals Regulation Division,
Mallard House, Kings Pool, 3 Peasholme Green, York YO1 7PX.
Registration will begin from 9:00 am. The workshop will start at
9:30 am and finish around 4:30 pm.
The cost per delegate for the training day will be £465.00 (plus
VAT) (includes notes, lunch and refreshments).
