This two day workshop will provide an overview of the European
efficacy data requirements for pesticide active substances and
their plant protection products (Regulation EC 1107/2009).
Particular emphasis is given on generating data to support product
zonal authorisations, supporting UK-only authorisations, and
assessment and presentation within a draft Registration Report
The course will cover:
- Active substance requirements and relevant EC SANCO
- Plant protection product data requirements, and key aspects for
each product type (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and plant
- Principles of data assessment and presentation in dRR, and the
underlying associated Biological Assessment Dossier (BAD)
- Effective use of the dRR in summarising data and supporting
product zonal authorisations
- Worked examples and practical sessions
- UK national considerations and labelling

Given the nature of the workshop, places will be limited
to a maximum of 16 delegates.
Who should attend?
This workshop is suitable for attendees with a range of efficacy
related responsibilities. This includes generation of
efficacy trials data, product registration managers, writers of BAD
and dRR, or more general regulatory backgrounds seeking an overview
of efficacy. The content is designed to cover all
efficacy related aspects of EC 1107/2009, and is therefore suitable
for people with differing levels of experience. For the
writers of BAD and dRR, this workshop also provides relevant
background as a comprehensive introduction and/or refresher
(depending on experience) to the CRD companion efficacy workshop
'The presentation and interpretation of Efficacy trials data in
Biological Assessment Dossiers to support authorisations under EC
The workshop will be held at The Chemicals Regulation Division,
Mallard House, Kings Pool, 3 Peasholme Green, York YO1 7PX.
Registration will begin from 9:30 am. The workshop will start at
10:00 am on day one and finish around 4:00 pm on day two.
The cost of this course is £660 (plus VAT) per person (includes
course notes, lunch and refreshments)
