This two day workshop will provide an overview of the European efficacy data requirements for pesticide active substances and their plant protection products (Regulation EC 1107/2009). Particular emphasis is given on generating data to support product zonal authorisations, supporting UK-only authorisations, and assessment and presentation within a draft Registration Report (dRR).

The course will cover:

  • Active substance requirements and relevant EC SANCO documents
  • Plant protection product data requirements, and key aspects for each product type (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators)
  • Principles of data assessment and presentation in dRR, and the underlying associated Biological Assessment Dossier (BAD)
  • Effective use of the dRR in summarising data and supporting product zonal authorisations
  • Worked examples and practical sessions
  • UK Specific applications and UK National Addendum

Given the nature of the workshop, places will be limited to a maximum of 16 delegates.

Who should attend?

This workshop is suitable for attendees with a range of efficacy related responsibilities.  This includes generation of efficacy trials data, product registration managers, writers of BAD and dRR, or more general regulatory backgrounds seeking an overview of efficacy.   The content is designed to cover all efficacy related aspects of EC 1107/2009, and is therefore suitable for people with differing levels of experience.  For the writers of BAD and dRR, this workshop also provides relevant background as a comprehensive introduction and/or refresher (depending on experience) to the CRD companion efficacy workshop 'The presentation and interpretation of Efficacy trials data in Biological Assessment Dossiers to support authorisations under EC 1107/2009'.

The workshop will be held at The Chemicals Regulation Division, Mallard House, Kings Pool, 3 Peasholme Green, York YO1 7PX. Registration will begin from 9:30 am. The workshop will start at 10:00 am on day one and finish around 4:30 pm on day two.

The cost of this course is £660 (plus VAT) per person (includes course notes, lunch and refreshments)

Please note the invoice option is not available within 4 weeks of the course date, or for overseas customers.  If you are selecting the invoice option for payment, it will be mandatory to input a purchase order/reference number as we are unable to process booking forms without this.
