HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) will be holding a
one-day workshop on the regulation of biocidal products in the UK
under the Biocidal Products Regulation 528/2012 (EU BPR). The
workshop is designed to be an introduction to the EU BPR and will
provide a basic overview of the regulation and the core data
requirements. Therefore this event is suitable only for those
stakeholders who have very little or no experience of
the EU BPR.
During the morning session, members of CRD's biocidal products
team will deliver a series of presentations providing information
on the scope of the BPR, transition from national law and BPR
application types. We will also provide practical advice and
guidance on the application process and members of our technical
teams will provide overviews of the core BPR data requirements.
The afternoon session will focus on an interactive workshop with
case studies requiring attendees to apply knowledge gained during
the morning session. Following this, there will be an overview of
the authorisation documents as well as a Q&A session to close

The content of the workshop will be relevant to stakeholders
intending to apply for biocidal product authorisations in the UK
and who would like to better understand the EU BPR process.
This event is suitable only for those stakeholders who have
very little or no experience of the EU
