The purpose of the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU regulation
No. 528/2012) is to improve the free movement of biocidal products
within the EU whilst ensuring a high level of protection for humans
and the environment. Active substances must gain approval in
accordance with this regulation in order to access the market. One
critical aspect of the regulatory process is the assessment of the
potential environmental risk posed by the active substance.
Understanding the environmental fate of these substances and the
impact this has on exposure is an important part of the overall

Who should attend?
Those seeking a broad overview or introduction to the key
environmental fate and behaviour requirements for active substance
dossiers. Also those new to the area of environmental fate and
behaviour and those seeking to keep up to date with the latest
regulatory developments and advice in this area.
The seminar will be held at Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre,
St Nicholas Place, Princes Dock, Liverpool, L3 1QW. Registration
will begin from 9:00 am. The seminar will start at 9:30am and
finish around 4:30 pm
