Training - Workplace Health: Skin Disease

is to run a one-day training course on skin disease.
The course will be held at the Health
and Safety Laboratory, Harpur Hill, Buxton, Derbyshire.

Introduction
Diseases of the skin represent some of the
most common occupational health
problems: Work-related dermatitis is one
of the major occupational skin diseases,
caused by contact with one or more of
the many hazardous agents found in the
workplace today.
This short course will discuss the incidence
of disease and methods employed to help
identify, diagnose and manage
occupational dermatoses. Reporting
schemes will be considered as will
personal protective equipment and other
measures to control exposure and a
number of case studies will be presented
to highlight specific allergens
encountered in the workplace.
The course will include:
• Overview of occupational skin disease
in the UK
• Investigation and management of
disease
• Specific allergen exposures
Who should attend?
This course is suited to occupational physicians and nurses or anyone
providing occupational health services.
The cost of each course is £395 + VAT (includes course notes,
lunch and refreshments).
