Local MP Visits HSL
New High Peak MP Andrew Bingham recently accepted an
invitation to visit HSL. Conservative MP Andrew was
invited by HSL Chief Executive Eddie Morland to meet the senior
management team and tour the site to learn more about the work
of HSL.
Following the visit , Andrew commented, "The work
that HSL does here in the High Peak is incredible. During the
visit I was amazed at the breadth of the work that is now
undertaken -from forensic investigation of major incidents such as
Buncefield and the Potters Bar Rail crash to scientific research
into occupational asthma, worker behaviour and the safety of
alternative fuels such as hydrogen".
Eddie Morland commented, "We have a very long standing
relationship with the High Peak - many of our staff live locally
and we've had a presence on the Buxton site for almost a century
-so we were extremely pleased to be able to show our new MP what a
world class science and research facility he has in his
constituency".
During the visit , Andrew had the opportunity to
witness a hydrogen release from HSL's unique facility which is used
in the research of the safety of hydrogen as an alternative
fuel
