WASP stock samples are test samples sets surplus from
completed WASP proficiency testing rounds and may be used
as PT training samples to assess the performance of new analysts or
as corrective action samples for analysts who have difficulties in
obtaining good results in the WASP PT scheme.
Test samples are supplied with an assigned value for each
analyte and a satisfactory range. The assigned values have been
calculated as a trimmed mean from the participant data supplied
for the particular PT round in question. The satisfactory
range indicates the range between which results would have been
awarded an satisfactory score in the WASP PT scheme has such
a training sample set been analysed as an unknown WASP PT
sample set.
Formal stability testing of these materials have not been
carried out. However based upon expert opinion, supported by
in-house data and published data on the stability of similar
materials, the materials offered can be considered stable over the
timescale suggested on the accompanying specification sheet.
