Training at HSL

Training at HSL
CWH is involved in academic and training programmes, both at
diploma and undergraduate level including medical students at
the University of Sheffield. CWH supports MD and PhD research
students, providing a number of clinical research fellowships as
training posts for potential clinical academics and acting as
supervisor and conducting Vivas.
As the Chief Medical Officer of HSL and co-director for the
Centre, Professor David Fishwick also acts as an ambassador for the
work of CWH and HSL globally. In March 2009 Professor Fishwick
and Mary Trainor (HSL Head of Science) visited a number of key
research institutions across Europe, Canada and North America as
part of a knowledge sharing exercise and to represent HSL as a
world-class health & safety research establishment.
Staff from CWH regularly contribute to a number of training
courses offered by HSL. HSL can offer both standard and
bespoke health and safety courses to fit your particular training
