Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) assessments

The Centre for Workplace Health (CWH) at the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL) in Buxton deliver a range of different services to external customers. We have developed a specialist tertiary referral centre for investigation of workplace ill health problems.

CWH offer standardised tests and clinical examinations for the assessment of HAVS. Two different assessments are offered, one includes standardised testing with a CWH technician and the second assessment  includes a full clinical examination by our Consultant Occupational Physcian.

Information about health surveillance for workers exposed to hand arm vibration can be found on the HSE website .

For more information on the two assessments CWH offer, please click here.

If you require further information regarding HAVS assessments or would like to make a referral, please contact CWH on (+44) 01298 218607 or e-mail cwh@hsl.gsi.gov.uk.
