In addition to our HSL/HSE and EU funded projects, we also
undertake various other nanotechnology-related projects, examples
of which are detailed here.
World Health Organisation (WHO)
HSL is a designated World Health Organisation Collaborating
Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Research. As such we
contribute to several areas of research work within the WHO work
plan (currently running 2006-2010). One such project is the
Nano-Comms project which is being led by the HSL NanoResearch
team.
Nano-Comms Project
Contribution to Standards Committees
As with many areas of health and safety research undertaken at
HSL, our scientists working on nanotechnology projects share their
accumulated knowledge and experience through contribution to
various Standards technical committees at UK national (BSI),
European (CEN) and international (ISO) levels.
