The Centre for Interdisciplinary NanoResearch at HSL (CiNR) was
established in 2007. This Centre brings together expertise across
the whole laboratory and is uniquely placed to address the
potential health and safety risks from nanoparticles.
HSL has been involved in nanoresearch for several years and has
been at the cutting edge of work investigating the associated
health and safety issues
HSL is undertaking a range of studies to help understand health
and safety issues encompassing everything from the toxicity of
nanoparticles to their potential explosion risk. We are currently
developing services to meet the needs of producers and users of
nanoparticles and nanomaterials.
Please use the links above to learn more about the Centre and
the research work we undertake.

work please contact us.
Enquiries and requests for advice regarding health and safety
concerns about nanomaterials and nanotechnology, however, should be
directed, in the first instance, to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Helpdesk.
